I didn’t post last week, because I caught a cold and spent the entireity of Sunday sleeping, at least until the post-Superbowl fireworks began.

Monday was my class day, but I spent the day coughing, so I had to cancel. This complicates this week, since tomorrow is supposed to be a work-from-home day and now has to be a Zoom-from-home-if-you-can day. The main task for this coming week is a self-propelled project, but the students are going to have two biggish tasks due this week instead of just the one. I’ll adjust my expectations and the grading, but I still feel bad about it.

Over on FB, I posted a link to my latest story, “Country Birds,” over on Facebook. Here it is, as well! Let me know what you think of the story.

This beefy RPG editing job I am doing is getting a bit beefier in the end game: the back end needs some reorganization for clarity, and I am identifying lacunae, some of which I can address, others not so much. The final due date for the edit is in March, and I wish I had another month with it. It’s been a lot of fun, and this sort of reorg is exactly my sort of jam.

I do my Novel Architects summer workshop in conjunction with the Ad Astra Institute, and we just got the confirmation about housing for this summer. If you’re interested in short fiction, check out Chris McKitterick’s justly famed two-week short fiction workshop, here. For my own workshops, as soon as I post this, I’ll drop a separate post with details and links for that, but hey, they’re here, too.

Okay, I have to dash off. So many things. Love you all!
