It has been a pretty wild three weeks. There have been wonderful things going on, some of which I can’t talk about (yet), and simultaneously some real stressors I can’t share, but which will get better, I know.
Sunday Morning Transport published my short story “Ratatoskr.” This is a subscription service, a story a week, and the stories are amazing.
The Broward wRites of Spring Festival was one of the really wonderful things. Everyone was so much fun, and the students were so motivated. I haven’t had this much fun in many years. I sat in on almost everything, and gave multiple readings, which, as I have said before, is my definition of heaven.
Semester keeps advancing. My students this semester (actually, all this year) have all been wonderful. We are not four weeks from the end, which means it’s all student workshopping, all the time, until May, plsu various graduate students are completing their dissertations and theses. This is always my busy time.
Applications are coming in for my workshops this summer, hurrah! Here’s the details for them:
Short Story Developmental Workshop, in person, 13-17 June
Novel Architects’ Master Class for SF/F Novels, online. 1-5 August
I am hoping to have lovely news for you all by this time next week! Cross your fingers.
